Ant and Dec speak out on chaotic I’m A Celeb live final and their after show carpark confrontation with Jimmy Bullard and David Haye

On their podcast, Ant and Dec talked about the chaotic I’m A Celebrity finale and their car park fight with Jimmy Bullard and David Haye.
The Geordie duo struggled to control the live show on Friday night; This program attracted more than 1,000 complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom, with Adam Thomas being chosen as the winner.
Jimmy, 47, was given the opportunity to speak to Adam, 37, following the angry speech in which Jimmy told a hearing ‘I’m a celebrity’ as they fought to survive on the show in the jungle.
Former footballer Jimmy accused Adam of being ‘abusive, aggressive and intimidating’ during a swearing row on the pre-recorded show last year, before boxer David claimed he was playing the victim.
Presenter Ant, 50, insisted what was televised was a ‘clear representation of what happened’, but some parts were omitted because they were ‘unbroadcast’.
Talking about scenes that will go down in reality TV history, Dec said: ‘We had a show on Friday night…’

Photos from Friday’s match showed Ant leaving the studios in West London with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett.
Ant continued: ‘If you haven’t seen it on Friday, I’m sure you’ve read it!
‘The first question was about why you said ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ to Jimmy that night. I said I didn’t agree with that.’
The last episode of Hang Out speaks on the YouTube channel Belta BoxDec continued: ‘There was a bit of a bee on his bonnet and he wanted to get it off his chest.
‘We heard that Gemma and Adam left the WhatsApp group.’
Speaking about what happened after the show went off air, Dec said he and Ant left separately and added: ‘I saw David Haye at the exit and he said, “What about then? I hope you get good ratings for this series.”‘
Ant then intervened to say: ‘He doesn’t care, it’s David. That’s what he does, he’s a boxer, you know, that’s his trade.’
The 50-year-old actor also addressed what appeared to be a tense argument with Jimmy in the parking lot as he was leaving the studios.
Downplaying their interaction, Ant joked: ‘There’s two people in the car park, David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, and I’m like ‘oh my god, what are your chances?’ I thought.
‘I went up to David Haye and he said: “How amazing was that? Wasn’t it great?”
‘And I was definitely talking about television. I wouldn’t say it was great, but we still laughed and had a great time.
‘Then I walked away and saw Jimmy Bullard, I just shook his hand and said ‘take care’ and he said ‘yeah, cheers’.
‘So there was no conflict. He wasn’t yelling at me, and I wasn’t yelling at him.’

Jimmy appeared to laugh at the issue as he tried to get his attention before a security guard stepped in.
During Jimmy’s impassioned speech in the finale, he admitted to ‘throwing Adam under the bus’ when he walked out of a hearing sparking the explosive confrontation that left viewers at home in shock.
He said that he had to leave due to personal reasons and that if he did not say ‘I am famous’ in the competition, he would not receive his full salary.
‘Listen, Adam and you all may be mad at me and I totally threw him under the bus, I understand and I’m going to wear this,’ Jimmy said.
‘But I don’t stand for someone being abusive and aggressive and scary, I don’t stand for that.’
Inviting Ant and Dec to share their views on the matter, Jimmy said: ‘You [pointing to the hosts] We were there and you showed none of it [footage].
“You didn’t show any of your C-bombs, that’s a freedom,” Jimmy fumed.
Ant argued: ‘The reason we haven’t released the C-bomb is because it’s unbroadcast.
‘I was there and I didn’t think it was scary. ‘I was there, Jim.’
In the teaser clip for the next podcast episode, Dec continued: ‘He had some bees on his bonnet and wanted to get it off his chest. ‘We heard that Gemma and Adam left the WhatsApp group’
This year’s All Stars series was plagued by bullying rows and controversial arguments between feuding cast-mates Adam, Jimmy Bullard (pictured) and David Haye.
Adam’s announcement as the winner of the show during a live episode resulted in chaos; Jimmy Bullard and David Haye reignited their feud with Thomas in front of a stunned studio audience.
David, who was accused of ‘bullying’ Adam during the show, disagreed with Ant and backed the former footballer as he demanded answers as to why Adam made obscene remarks to Jimmy.
The man fired back at David and told him to “let the finalists talk,” which drew applause from the crowd in the live audience.
Since the final, Gemma Collins has publicly condemned Jimmy and David, saying they should be “disgusted with themselves”.
Boxer David is also said to have sued ITV, instructing his lawyers to send a letter to the channel demanding a full investigation into his programming.
In the program shot last year, David was accused of ‘bullying’ Adam and was criticized by the audience for his comments about women.
According to The Sun, the retired athlete believes he was deliberately set up as the show’s ‘pantomime villain’.
A source said: ‘David is absolutely delighted with all this; he is fuming about how the whole series has been handled and feels scapegoated by ITV.
‘He can give examples; such as Gemma Collins’ fat-shaming moment, which uses clever editing and condescending eye rolls to make her words seem damning.
The man said on Wednesday he felt exploited by ITV over the way the live finale was handled.
He said on his podcast with brothers Adam and Scott: ‘I think for David [Haye] and some of the camp friends that showed up, I think it was just a show for them, you know what I mean?
‘This is entertainment. It’s so fun. And for me it has nothing to do with entertainment, I’m not playing a character, I’m here for my own agenda and not for someone else’s agenda, I’m here to laugh and enjoy the experience.

‘And I think looking at David was the most disturbing thing for me, and even after the show and everything he did, he sent me a voice note saying, “Oh man, what a great show, I’m so happy you won, congratulations.”
‘I just sent him a message and said, look, I think I’m drawing the line here, I hope you find happiness bro, but I’m done now.
‘The whole experience is difficult. I felt like I was exploited at that live show and I think you can see that at the end. I felt like I was in the middle of everything and it wasn’t even about me.’
An emotional Thomas opened up about his struggle with mental health issues and described Haye’s actions in the camp as outright ‘bullying’, claiming the former boxer left him in an emotionally vulnerable state after ‘getting inside his head’.
‘What happened to me in the camp was bullying, that’s the truth of the matter, it was bullying,’ he said.
‘And I don’t think it’s fair for people who are going through what I’m going through in the real world to portray it as a joke, because it’s not.
‘And the reason I didn’t speak up for myself when I should’ve was because when we were at camp everyone was jokingly passing it off as, “Oh, he’s just doing this because he loves you.” I laughed at that too. I laughed about it and acted like it was okay.’
He added: ‘I can see why, from the other campmates’ perspective, it was just banter and not bullying, I get it. But I’m telling you my truth and how I felt there and that was bullying.
‘I can also say that when I went out I spoke to David and asked him why. Why did you keep doing this to me? Why did you do this? And she said to me, “I never met a better man, I just wanted to hurt you.”
‘If that doesn’t classify as bullying, I don’t know what does.’
