Revealed: Suicidal British woman made chilling final video of how she wanted to be murdered in US Airbnb by man she met in a fetish chatroom

A suicidal British woman who traveled to the United States to be killed by a man she met in an online fetish chatroom has recorded a shocking video explaining how she wanted him to end his life before stabbing her to death.

Digital content creator Sonia Exelby, 32, flew to Florida last month ‘on a violent death quest’ just days before her body was found buried in a shallow grave in remote woodland.

Dwain Hall, 53, a father of two, is accused of murdering and kidnapping Sonia; He allegedly sexually assaulted and tortured the defenseless British woman before killing her at a remote Airbnb where the couple were staying.

Police revealed they recorded footage of a clearly distressed Sonia describing in graphic detail how she wanted to die.

In the video, Hall is seen ‘looking disheveled’ and sitting in a chair with multiple bruises on her face, neck and breasts after being tortured by Hall, who told police he used the name ‘alphasadist’ on fetish websites.

Hall, who claimed Sonia also wanted rough sex, was heard asking her why she was in the United States, to which Sonia tearfully replied: ‘Because I’m a terrible person’ and added: ‘I crushed everyone who loved me.’

Hall details why he’s a terrible person before asking him “how” he wants to die and “describing it.”

Sonia initially refused to answer but eventually said she wanted to be ‘stabbed’.

Hall later said: ‘You wanted to die this way, didn’t you?’

When asked if she had ever been forced to do anything against her will, Hall nodded, and she nodded, before asking if she was ‘happy’ and getting what she wanted.

Sonia’s final moments were featured in a 13-page indictment against the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigating the murder.

Sonia, whose mental health issues have been well documented, flew to Florida on October 10 and booked a return flight three days later for October 13.

Her family, including her boyfriend Steve Hunt in Portsmouth, Hampshire, reported Sonia missing when she was not on the return flight.

Mr. Hunt made an emotional plea for help trying to find her and described how the woman had flown to Tallahassee.

Posting several photos of Sonia on Instagram, he said worryingly: ‘We believe she arranged to meet someone there and put herself in an extremely vulnerable position. That’s all I can say about it.’

Tragically, the police report revealed that Sonia had lived out her family’s worst fears.

Detectives in the US said he ‘traveled to the United States with the intention of meeting online individuals willing to violently kill him’.

They say evidence found on his computer shows he was ‘suicidal and likely traveled to the US to be sexually abused, tortured and murdered by unknown persons’.

He had also used the messaging platform Discord to contact friends in the UK and tell them what was happening; It was a “long and disjointed” series of messages, police said.

In the letters he wrote: ‘I’m sorry he keeps taking my phone. ‘He doesn’t trust me on this.’

He later added: ‘He made it clear there was no way out unless I shot him. I was questioning this last night. ‘I can’t kill anyone.’

Sonia later added: ‘I thought he would do it quickly and not give my mind time to boil and realize that if I didn’t accept his offer to shoot him it was the last thing I would ever do to anyone.

‘He showed me how to use it and where to aim. I’m so scared, I’m so hurt and in so much pain.

‘All I can do is lie here and do what he wants, make him respect me enough to do the things I truly hate,’ he wrote.

Hall, who is married, said Sonia initiated the interaction and did not want to have sex because he did not want to ‘feel bad about his wife’.

Police identified the airport lounge using cell phone records and debit card transactions when Sonia landed at the airport and drove her to an Airbnb in Marion County.

He told detectives that he met Sonia on a fetish website two years ago and that Sonia told him how she was suicidal and wanted to be killed, but he insisted she was trying to talk him out of it.

He told investigators that he and Sonia had sexual intercourse at the Airbnb before she was killed.

Hall, who is married, said Sonia initiated the interaction and did not want to have sex because he did not want to ‘feel bad about his wife’.

While Hall was being questioned, police eventually found his body in a wooded area in Marion Oaks, and Hall was identified by fingerprints; A shovel found in his home contained soil matching the burial site.

Blood was also found on the handle and was later confirmed as a positive match to Sonia, and a pre-arranged autopsy a week later showed that she had been stabbed four times.

Police also recovered a knife thought to have been used in the murder after it was sent to a friend of Hall’s through the mail, and DNA matching the victim was found in bloodstains on the knife.
