Harassing Juniors Through Informal WhatsApp Groups To Be Treated as Ragging: UGC

New Delhi: According to the authorities, the University Gentlemen Commission (UGC) led you to watch the informal WhatsApp groups created to harass young people.
The UGC receives dozens of complaints every year from fresh claims to the harassment of the elderly.
“In some cases, the elderly form informal Whatsapp groups, communicate with Juniors and exposure them to mentally harassment. This is for rag and invites disciplinary measures.” He said.
“Student safety on campus is very important and cannot be bargained. Applying anti -investment norms can lead to strict action, including the withholding of grants.”
The advisor also marked the events in which young people are threatened with social boycott if they do not follow the instructions of the elderly. It was mentioned as other common rags to cut students to cut their hair, to stay awake for long hours or to humiliate them verbally.
“Such actions cause physical and psychological distress and serious violations of anti-raging regulations and completely unacceptable,” he said.
