Arjun Ayanki among six detained ahead of poll results

As part of pre-election security measures, Kothamangalam police on Sunday (May 3) detained six members of a group reportedly led by Arjun Ayanki (29), a native of Azhikkal in Kannur, who has been named in eight cases.

The group was nabbed at a resort in Punnekkad near Kariyilappara. Ernakulam rural police said the action was part of an action codenamed Operation Steel Bird, targeting suspected repeat offenders.
