Asia-Pacific markets: Nikkei 225, Kospi

Asia-Pacific markets were mostly lower on Friday, following declines on Wall Street as investors assessed the state of the economy.
Japan’s reference point Nikkei 225 It lost 0.33% while Topix fell 0.92%. South Korean Kospi gained 0.66% after returning from vacation. The small-cap Kosdaq lost 0.37 percent.
Australia’s ASX/S&P 200 lost 0.26%.
Hong Kong futures Hang Seng Index It marked a lower open, trading at 26,354 compared to the index’s previous close of 26,752.59.
Three major averages fell overnight. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite retreated from all-time intraday highs on Thursday; As the US government shutdown continues, both indices took a break from their gains in the previous session.
The broad market index closed at 6,735.11 points, down 0.28%, while the technology-heavy index closed at 23,024.63 points, down 0.08%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 243.36 points, or 0.52%, to close at 46,358.42 points.
