Premier League decision on PSR changes ‘coming up’ – Richard Masters

General Manager Richard Masters, Premier League’s controversial profit and sustainability rules (PSR) scrapped and “alternative system” decision to accept “comes” says.

The current regulations introduced in 2015-16 to prevent the excessive spending of clubs allow losses of £ 105 million in a three-year reporting cycle.

However, it was criticized for limiting their ability to invest by several top flights.

BBC Sport was told to make any change in a meeting in November.

In February, the clubs chose to continue with PSR for the current season.

However, a shaded, non -binding basis by the Premier League has been adopted by a number of cost ratio (SCR).

SCR is similar to UEFA’s current financial rules and allows clubs to spend a percentage of the total income for the team -related costs.

Nine of the league’s 20 club has to comply with UEFA’s SCR as a result of being entitled to Europe. Both Chelsea and Aston Villa were fined by UEFA in July for violating the rules.

“We are talking to our clubs about an alternative system with our clubs. This does not mean that we don’t think the PSR system works,” Masters said, asking questions about SCR at the London Sports Conference.

“This is about the European regulation, which is a team cost ratio, which is a income test.

“Premier League was built behind the investment in which international capital flows [are] He’s in. We don’t want this to drown. “
