Asim Munir to get more power? Pakistan plans constitutional amendment

Some people in Pakistan say that Chief of General Staff Asim Munir deliberately pushed Pakistan into the fire of war. First he became the Marshal of Pakistan from the Chief of Army Staff and now he is ‘forcing’ Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to change the Constitution.

Munir’s last order to Shahbaz is to amend the constitution to strengthen his influence over Pakistan. While the state of democracy in Pakistan is no secret, under Munir’s pressure, Pakistan’s puppet government is about to put an end to even the so-called democracy in the country.

– This 27th Amendment will further strengthen the army’s dominance over Pakistan.

– According to sources, after the constitutional amendment, Asım Münir will become the Commander-in-Chief and the government’s control over the army will legally end.

– With the amendment of Article 243, the rank of Marshal will be constitutionally recognized as there is no mention of Marshal in the current Constitution of Pakistan. Before Munir, Ayub Khan served as Field Marshal, but this was not in the Constitution of Pakistan.

– Since Münir is planned to retire on November 28, preparations are also being made to extend Asım Münir’s term, which will provide legal clarity for his term to continue until 2027.

What will happen if Marshal Asım Münir becomes Commander-in-Chief?

Field Marshal is the highest rank in the Pakistan Army; The Commander-in-Chief, on the other hand, is the supreme commander of the Pakistan Armed Forces, who is constitutionally the President.
But now Munir has decided to take over even the President’s so-called constitutional control over the Pakistan Army.

Shahbaz Sharif also has to obey Asim Munir’s orders because if Asim Munir does not get the power and authority he wants, he will overthrow the current government and take full control of the government.

Therefore, Shahbaz’s party, Pakistan Muslim League, joined forces with Bilawal Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party to amend the Constitution. The matter was kept completely secret. The people of Pakistan came to know about this only when Bilawal Bhutto posted on social media. By changing the constitution, Shahbaz Sharif will remain in Asim Munir’s good books and thus the army will show its kindness and ensure Shahbaz Sharif wins the next elections.
