Assam CEO Asks District Officials to Gear Up for SIR

Guwahati: In the midst of the ongoing political debate on election rolls, the Chief Election Officer (CEO), Assam Anurag Goel issued a high priority directive to start preparing a special intensive revision of the election commission for all regional election officers (DEOs) before India’s Election Commission.
With this CEO’s order, all election registration officers (Eros), Eros and Booth level officials (BLOS) reported that the Sir program was announced before the announcement, the Sources in the State Election Commission will go to polls for the first time since the 126 voters in 2023.
The directive suggested that the additional identification of the additional BLOS for the newly created ballot box stations should not be given additional tasks to the selection personnel and data entry operators during the secret process, and Bodoland Territorial Council (TBTC) districts should not guide these personnel for BTC elections. The elections of the BTR Autonomous Council will be held in September, Assam Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Prime Minister has already emphasized the need for an election rolls and framed it as necessary to clear the voters lists of illegal entrances. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that his latest statements on voting theft and aadhaar -linked voter identities were accidentally confirmed the need to exercise. “In Assam, there are Bangladesh-Origin Miya Muslim Brotherhood and his names appear in Barpeta, Guwahati, Kerala and even Delhi,” he said.
The last intensive revision in the state was held in 2005. DEOs are instructed to share the updated 2005 voter list with the recognized parties, to activate regional communication centers for public queries and to provide daily updates in the complaint service portal.
Directive, the Regional Communication Centers (DCCs) will be activated as a center, but DEOS should participate in calls during office hours without obtaining extra costs and assign employees to update the NGSP portal on a daily basis.
