NSO organises Swachhata programme at Appa Public School

Kalaburagi National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division) recently organized a Swachhata Program at Appa Public School to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness and the importance of statistics in national development.
The program was conducted in association with Appa Public School as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 campaign. While NSO (FOD) Director Hareshwaran K. chaired the meeting, NSO (FOD) Deputy Director Jadhav Sujata Tanaji and Appa Public School Principal Shankargouda Hosmani were also present.
Approximately 170 participants, including NSS cadets, Scouts and Guides, students and staff, attended the programme.
Awareness activities were held within the scope of the event, including tree planting, poster displays, cleanliness and a quiz on the role of statistics in national development. Participants also participated in plantation tours, reinforcing the message of “Clean Campus, Clean India”.
Office for National Statistics officials also raised awareness about the organisation, its surveys and career opportunities in official statistics.
The program ended with the participants promising to attach importance to hygiene and spread the spirit of cleanliness in society.
