Ban on Telangana Govt employees’ transfers relaxed temporarily; to be reimposed from June 1, 2026
Transfers of Telangana government employees should be subject to the condition that not more than 40% of employees in any cadre should be transferred, thus ensuring no job loss.

The government has issued instructions stating the eligibility conditions and guidelines to be followed while making transfers. Accordingly, transfers will be made between May 1-31, and people who have completed three years at a particular station as of January 1, 2026 will be eligible for transfer. This requirement will not be mandatory for employees who request a transfer due to a spouse.
