Apache helicopters set for delivery within two weeks after India-US defence talks

Following the speech of India-US defense ministers, the long-awaited Apache war helicopters in the next two weeks.

The upper source at the Ministry of Defense confirmed that the first party of the Apache AH-64E attack helicopter from the United States would be transmitted by July 15 and that the next party of the three helicopters would be delivered until November this year.

Development comes on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, after having a telephone conversation with Defense Secretary Rajnath Singh with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Both leaders reviewed the ongoing and approaching attempts to develop defense cooperation between India and the United States.

Mr Singh thanked Mr. Hegset for the US support during the Sindoor operation on Tuesday, and said that India had the right to prevent and deterre the cross -border terrorist attacks and to defense and defense.

The induction of the Apache helicopter is part of the army’s aviation company’s modernization program. The deployment of helicopters along the western border will further strengthen the army’s war capabilities.

On July 2, the US Department of Defense made a statement on July 1, indicating that Defense Minister Pete Hegseth spoke with Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Secretary Hegseth emphasized the priority of the United States in India as a key defense partner in South Asia.

In the statement, Secretary Hegseth and Minister Singh reads that both countries have reviewed the record progress of February 2025 by President Trump and Prime Minister Modi in his joint statement. The duo discussed the US’s major defense sales to India and the necessity of close defense industrial cooperation between the two countries.

“Secretary Hegseth and Minister Singh agreed to sign the next ten-year US-Indian defense framework this year,” he said.
