Iceland to close store in July in major blow to high street | UK | News

Iceland closes another branch this month in the last coup of England to Hight Street. The British Supermarket Chain will pull down the blinds at the Rose Street Branch in Inverness on July 12th, Sun Reports.
This follows the closure of Iceland’s Margate branch on June 21 at Kent Town College Square. The latest closing means that there will no longer be a branch in Inverness, the fans of the store now have to travel to Aberdeen to visit their nearest stores.
Iceland has not yet provided a statement about why the store was closed. Express.co.uk approached the chain for interpretation via e -mail.
Iceland has previously closed its store at Shenley Road in Borehamwood and another in January in the Alphington Road Retail Park in Exeter.
Before that, Iceland announced that it will close 10 stores on the Canal Islands due to a new franchise agreement, so the product range will be sold at the alliance branches.
