Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao stated that people are ready to diminish the Congress party in the Jubilee Hills by-election as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has threatened people with consequences like stopping welfare schemes if they do not support the ruling party.

He said the Congress party government was collecting bus fares from women’s husbands in the name of providing free travel to women and was forcing women from poor families to sell their necklaces for their daughters’ marriage due to non-fulfillment of promises under the Kalyana Lakshmi rule.

Speaking after receiving several leaders of other parties on Saturday, he said that Revanth Reddy was demolishing the houses of the poor in the name of Indiramma Rajyam. She mocked Congress leaders for ascribing reasons to the tears of BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, who became emotional remembering her husband Maganti Gopinath’s relationship with people.

Meanwhile, a team of BRS leaders comprising MLA KP Vivekanand, general secretary RS Praveen Kumar, MLC Shambhipur Raju and others visited Borabanda police station to inquire about the progress of the case registered in connection with the suicide of party leader Sardar. They alleged that Baba Fasiuddin, the prime accused in the case, was not arrested even after five months of the incident. Instead of arresting the accused, the government was maintaining his personal security (gunmen) and they were going to meet the Chief Electoral Officer and the Commissioner of Police regarding the matter.

MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar said the Chief Minister had reduced governance in Telangana to “politics of panic” and was acting out of fear rather than public trust.
