Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone

Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone received a great relief from the Rajasthan Supreme Court, which remained a registered oven in Bharatpur. The complaint was opened by a local car owner claiming that Hyundai Motors sells a flawed vehicle.

A few days ago, both actors claimed that together with six company officials, they mislead their customers as Hyundai’s brand ambassadors. Both Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone approached the Rajasthan Supreme Court, looking for the deterioration of the Fir. Legal teams argued that their roles are limited to product promotion and did not agree with the technical operations of the company.

The senior defender for Shah Rukh Khan, Kapil Sibal, said that the actor had no direct connection with the quality of Hyundai’s cars and that it was unfair to include it in the case. Madhav Mitra, representing Deepika Padukone, reiterated similar arguments and said that it cannot be held responsible for the flaws of production.

Justice Sudesh Bansal, who heard the issue in Jodhpur, observed that the Fir lacks a real foundation. The court then ordered both actors and company officials to stay in the Fir by providing temporary relief. The next hearing was planned on 25 September.

The case stems from a complaint made by a Bharatpur resident who accuses Hyundai Motors of selling a technically defective car and resulting in financial losses. Fir, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone claimed that they were responsible for the misleading customers. However, actors argue that the charges are not legally sustainable, as brand approvals are not equal to accountability for product defects.

At the hearing of the Rajasthan Supreme Court, Senior Lawyer Kapil Sibal represented his senior lawyer Madhav Mitra Deepika Padukone, and senior lawyer Vivek Raj Bajwa discussed Hyundai Md Anso Kim.

After listening to the arguments, the bench stayed in the Fir opened in Bharatpur and gave temporary help to all petitions. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Anso Kim and another company official, the petitions, stressed that they did not make a certain claim against them.

The defense also argued that the complainant Kirti Singh has been using the car for nearly three years and already lasting more than 67,000 kilometers. If they had real complaints, they said they might approach the consumer court instead of staying in a brush. The petitions argued that it was not legally justified to register a criminal case in such cases.
