Trump says China’s Xi is ‘very happy’ about Strait of Hormuz reopening

Chinese President Xi Jinping is “very happy” with the status of the Strait of Hormuz and looks forward to meeting in China, US President Donald Trump said on Friday.

“President Xi is very happy that the Strait of Hormuz is open and/or is opening quickly,” Trump said in a statement to Truth Social. “Our meeting in China will be special and potentially historic. I look forward to being with President Xi – Much will be accomplished!” he added.
