BJP, TDP stage protest against Congress for disrupting global AI Summit

BJP and TDP leaders staged a protest in Visakhapatnam on Sunday against the Congress party, which staged a demonstration during the recently held India AI Impact Summit – 2026 in Delhi. They condemned that the protest of the Youth Congress was against the interests of the country while an international event was being held.

BJP State President PVN Madhav, TDP AP unit president Palla Srinivasa Rao, BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju and other leaders of both parties participated in the protest.

Addressing the protesters, Mr. Madhav said Youth Congress activists tried to disrupt a global event attended by over 2.5 lakh observers, 600 start-ups, 3,250 experts and representatives from 13 countries. He alleged that the Congress’s protest at the event inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was misplaced and that an international event was being turned into a platform for political showdown.

Mr. Madhav said that the protest at the Summit, where representatives of 88 companies signed the New Delhi Declaration, had brought great disgrace to the country. He asked the Congress not to tarnish the country’s reputation by organizing protests on international platforms.
