India-Israel ties: Ahead of his high-profile visit to Israel on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed excitement in response to a message from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Prime Minister stated that he was “looking forward” to the upcoming discussions.

Prime Minister Modi responded to the Israeli Prime Minister in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) and expressed satisfaction over the strong bond between the two countries.

The Prime Minister stated that India deeply values ​​friendship with Israel and that the friendship is built on “trust, innovation and shared commitment to peace and progress”.

“Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu. I fully agree with you on the bond between India and Israel, as well as on the diverse nature of our bilateral relations. India deeply values ​​the enduring friendship with Israel built on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to peace and progress. I look forward to our discussions during my upcoming visit to Israel,” the post said.

Netanyahu talked about Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu described PM Modi’s upcoming visit to Israel as “historic” and said the partnership between India and Israel continues to reach new heights in the areas of innovation, security and regional cooperation.

In a post on channel X ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel, Netanyahu called the Prime Minister a “dear friend” and underlined the growing strategic alignment between the two countries.

“At the opening of our Cabinet meeting this morning, I talked about my dear friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Israel next Wednesday,” he said.

Describing the relationship as “a strong alliance between two global leaders”, Netanyahu said Israel and India are partners in innovation, security and a common strategic vision.

Referring to cooperation in emerging technologies and broader geopolitical coordination, Netanyahu said, “From artificial intelligence to regional cooperation, our partnership continues to reach new dimensions.” he added.

He concluded his remarks by saying that he was looking forward to hosting Modi in Israel.

Meanwhile, bilateral talks between the two leaders are expected to cover a number of sectors.
