BJP urges State govt. to hand over to CBI misappropriation of funds case

BJP leader Ameen Reddy Patil Yalagi urged the State government to hand over the multi-crore misappropriation of funds case registered at Shahapur Police Station to the CBI for a detailed investigation.
Addressing a press conference, Mr. Yalagi said that the case regarding misappropriation of multi-crore funds in Matoshri Hemareddy Mallamma Souharda Sahakara Sangha was registered at Shahapur Police Station on the complaint of its long-term president, Basanagouda Venkatarayagouda Malipatil.
Police handed over the case to CID as the amount misappropriated exceeded ₹ 7 crore.
Meanwhile, Mr. Yalagi disclosed that the complainant, Mr. Malipatil, was found dead at his house in Shahapur on June 30 after being put under constant pressure and facing false allegations from depositors and bankers, and also that a deal made in the presence of elders had failed.
