Body recovered from water after reports of man in difficulty in river during heatwave

The body of a 22-year-old man was pulled from the river after it was reported that he was struggling during the heatwave.
West Mercia Police said the body of Brody Leach was found in the River Severn in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, on Saturday morning.
He is believed to be the second person to die after entering open water during a heatwave in June that reached record temperatures.
Following the search for Mr. Leach, who entered the river on Friday and later found himself in a difficult situation, the area where the riverside searches were carried out was reopened.
On Wednesday, a 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at Aberavon beach after experiencing difficulty swimming in the sea off the south coast of Wales.
At least 15 people, mostly children, drowned while swimming in open water during the May heatwave.
It has led to widespread warnings about the dangers of swimming in open water, which is often much colder than expected and can cause cold water shock syndrome, which can be fatal.
Temperatures will drop with storm warnings issued after the heat wave in June, which broke the record temperature for three consecutive days.

Friday was confirmed by the Met Office as the hottest June day on record in the UK; The provisional temperature of 37.3 degrees recorded at Santon Downham in Suffolk surpassed the highest temperature of 36.7 degrees recorded at Merryfield, Somerset on Thursday.
These broke the long-standing record for June heat dating back to the summer of 1976 by more than 1°C; This is quite significant considering that such records have often been broken by only a fraction of a degree in the past.
Scientists warned 50 years ago that a heat wave would be nearly impossible as human-caused climate change fuels more intense and frequent extreme heat events.
The Met Office said the record-breaking temperatures for the third consecutive day in June came as parts of the UK shifted to a westerly influence, bringing the risk of storms.
Initially, there will be a decrease in temperatures in the west, and fresher weather conditions will gradually spread towards the east throughout the weekend.
