Boy, 16, jailed for raping teenage girl
A 16-year-old boy has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for raping a teenage girl in a park in Worcester.
The attack took place in Cripplegate Park at around 02:00 on 10 August. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was 15 years old at the time.
West Mercia Police said CCTV footage showed him following the victim, a 17-year-old girl, over Worcester Bridge into the park. He was arrested hours later and charged two days later.

He was given a prison sentence of five years and three months at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to one count of rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
The boy was also sentenced to two and a half years in prison for sexual assault, which will run concurrently with the rape sentence, police said.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life, a spokesman added.
