Boy, nine, has Christmas ‘ruined’ after present from his parents is dumped in bin by Evri driver

This is the moment a delivery driver ruined a nine-year-old boy’s Christmas by putting his present in a bin which he collected later.
All little Louis Tremblay wanted for Christmas was a flipbook from US YouTuber Andymation.
However, after putting the precious gift in the bin, the delivery driver walked away without leaving a note on the family’s door.
A few days later the bin was collected along with Louis’ Christmas present.
Mum Lauren said: ‘Louis is obsessed with flipbooks and Andymation. The flipbook, which costs over £50, was all he wanted for Christmas.
‘We were waiting and waiting for it to come, when we finally realized what it was we were stunned.
‘We broke the news to Louis and he burst into tears. ‘
The kit is only available in the US, but Louis’ parents arranged for the family to purchase it and ship it to their home in Bransgore.
Nine-year-old Louis Tremblay (center, with dad Adam, left, and mom, Lauren, right) was left distraught after a stray delivery driver threw his Christmas present into the bin.

Lauren said: ‘We were delighted but as the family bought it we did not receive any messages regarding delivery.
‘We thought it would take a long time to arrive and we talked to our relatives.
‘They said they were informed that it was delivered on December 8th.’
Lauren and her husband, Adam, checked the video doorbell footage from that day and watched in horror as the delivery driver pulled into their path, opened the lid of the trash can next to the front door, and placed the gift inside.
He said: ‘We are horrified. He never rang the doorbell or inserted a card.
‘We had no idea it was there.’
The man has been trying to contact delivery company Evri ever since.
He said: ‘We tried calling and emailing but were told the tracking number was invalid.
‘It was awful having to tell Louis what happened; ‘He was devastated.’
The gift price was refunded to his family in the USA and a complaint was filed against Evri.
However, the kit is sold out and will only be available for reorder at the end of February.
Lauren said: ‘I can’t understand why you would put a parcel in the bin, for all you know collection could be happening that day.’
Evri has been contacted for comment.
