Brewers face Reds in NL Central clash with two unpredictable starters on the mound for both sides

I was hit once again by making the wrong choice for half the game and the right choice for the entire game. I’m not really sure why this has happened so often this year – more than I’ve experienced in almost any other year – but I’ve had my first five games lose while the team I picked won the entire game, or vice versa. Let’s try to get a win here when the Brewers face the Reds.
The Milwaukee Brewers are still the best team in the Central National League. Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but this team is over .500 in almost 20 games and has dropped out of the bracket. Most of the division was above .500 on the season, but the Brewers found a way to emerge and look like the favorites to win the division once again. It will be interesting to see if they make any moves at the trade deadline. They’re never really known that way, but eventually they just have to push their chips into the middle of the table and hope it’s the right season.

Getting eliminated in the playoffs without trying too hard for the World Series is the Brewers’ way, so something needs to change. The team will likely need another arm, and they may have found one in flexing today’s starter, Shane Drohan. He has made five starts this season and has only completed six innings once. He attracted attention with his performance this season. This makes it very difficult to predict and trust him. He has never faced a Reds forward.
The Cincinnati Reds are below .500 and will likely be hovering around that mark all season long. I think the goal was always to get into the play-offs with the Wild Card. This team has some nice pieces, but I don’t think they quite fit together yet. They don’t hit very well overall as a team, only having a .225 batting average. I guess that shows they need a bat, but they could also use their arms considering their team’s ERA is 4.49. But there is a lot of help out there.

Today’s shooting depends on the success of Rhett Lowder. He is 3-4 on the season with a 4.82 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. He was better off at home. He has a 3.22 ERA, but only in four starts. He didn’t get into games very much. He completed six or more innings just three times in 11 games. He had an injury that put him in a difficult position between May and June. He hasn’t had to face the Brewers this season, but he’s held them to just one hit in eight innings over his career.
This is a harder game than it is on the surface. You know the best team is Milwaukee, but that doesn’t mean one team will always win. Overall my best advice would be to stay away from it. There is a real possibility that both teams will swing the opposing pitcher. On the other hand, the weather will not be ideal and both starters could be in the lineups.

The better bullpen belongs to the Brewers, so if you want the Reds I think you should narrow it down to five runs. I think reds are more valuable. This won’t be an easy bet for you to follow, but the Reds have a decent starter at home and I’m not buying into Drohan. Give me the Reds through five innings.
