Bijou Phillips hospitalized awaiting kidney transplant

Bijou Phillips was hospitalized in Los Angeles while awaiting her second kidney transplant.
Phillips, 45, asked for help finding a kidney and detailed his difficult journey in a social media post he shared on Wednesday.
The actress, who received her first kidney transplant in 2017, is currently under care at UCLA and is on dialysis again while waiting to find a living donor, she wrote online.

Phillips, who has struggled with kidney disease throughout his life, stated that he was “born with underdeveloped kidneys and spent the first three months of his life in the NICU on dialysis.”
“In 2017, I received the incredible gift of a kidney from a dear friend,” he wrote. “This transplant gave me 8 precious years to become a mother to my daughter, but I have since suffered many complications, including BK virus, which causes both cellular and antibody rejection.”

The “Almost Famous” actor is currently a Dr. at UCLA. He admitted that he was under Anjay Rastogi’s care and was “on dialysis again”.
“Please help me find a living donor so I can spend more time with my daughter, family and friends,” she wrote.
Some celebrity friends offered support to Phillips online, with Kathy Hilton leading the family and sending “prayers, love and light.”

Kimberley Stewart wrote, “I love you so much,” while Ashley Benson said, “We all support you and you are not alone.”
A representative for Phillips did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

In September 2023, Phillips filed for divorce from Danny Masterson, two weeks after the “That ’70s Show” actor was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of two forcible rapes in May.

Phillips noted “irreconcilable differences” in court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
