BRS Return to Power Inevitable: Harish Rao

Nalgonda: BRS Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao on Thursday said change of power in Telangana was inevitable and expressed confidence that the party will return to office in the next elections.
Addressing a party meeting at Kodad in Suryapet district, he alleged a shift in public sentiment against the Congress government, accusing it of failing to implement its poll promises. He said that demand for BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s return as Prime Minister has increased.
Harish Rao blamed the government for shortages in paddy supply and alleged that farmers were suffering losses due to reductions in weight. He alleged that while the previous BRS government had procured 93 lakh metric tonnes of paddy during the crop season, the current government had procured only a fraction of the 90 lakh metric tonnes it had targeted for the Yasangi season.
He also claimed that fertilizer shortage, electricity supply issues and lack of irrigation support were affecting farmers. Criticizing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he urged him to visit procurement centers to assess ground conditions. The BRS leader also alleged that the Congress government has not fulfilled promises regarding employment and financial assistance to women and has not provided funds under the SC/ST Sub-Plan or given loans through welfare companies.
Referring to the death of a party worker, he allegedly that BRS members were being targeted, and warned of action against officials if the party returned to power.
Earlier, Harish Rao visited a paddy purchasing center in Choutuppal and interacted with farmers. Former Kodad MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav and other party leaders attended the meeting.
