President Trump announced the completion of renovations to the Lincoln Bedroom bathroom at the White House on Friday, revealing the redesigned space in a series of posts on Truth Social.
The bathroom, which was last updated with a green tile design in the 1940s, has been redesigned with black-and-white marble, a look the President described as more appropriate to the Lincoln era.
“I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom at the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was very un-Lincoln Era,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday.

Trump said, “I did this with black and white polished sculptural marble. It was very appropriate for Abraham Lincoln’s time and may actually be the marble that was there!” he added.
The president shared multiple photos of the renovation on Truth Social, showcasing the bathroom’s marble walls and gold fixtures.
“Renovated Lincoln Bathroom at the White House – Highly polished, Sculptural marble!” Trump said in one of his posts.

The office and closet room once occupied by America’s 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, has been known as the Lincoln Bedroom since 1945, when President Harry S. Truman ordered Lincoln-era furniture to be placed there, according to the White House Historical Association.
The room is located in the southeast corner of the second floor of the White House.

The bathroom renovation follows Trump’s recent announcement that construction crews have begun demolishing part of the East Wing to make room for a privately funded White House ballroom that has been in the works for months.
The ballroom is estimated to cost $250 million and will be co-financed by Trump and private donors.

“The White House is currently unable to host important ceremonies honoring world leaders in other countries without having to erect a large, ugly tent approximately 100 feet from the entrance to the main building,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a July 31 briefing.
