Authorities did not allow the congregation prayers at the Historical Jama Masjid in Srinagar on Friday, July 11 on Friday, 2025, two days before the ‘Martyrs’ in J & K.
Jama Masjid spokesman Kashmir’s chief cleric Umar Farooq was not allowed to go to the mosque by the authorities, and said, “13 July 1931 martyrs will be afraid to talk about Friday sermons,” he said.
Söz The sacrifice of these martyrs and all martyrs since then has been engraved in the collective memory of Kashmir and can not be taken back with restrictions and prohibitions.
The authority resorted to abolish restrictions and allow people to respect the martyrs of July 13 peacefully. Söz If allowed according to tradition, Mirwaiz will visit the grave of the martyrs after the prayers of Zuhr and respect the respected martyrs, ”he added.
A few J & K’s regional party is preparing to pay tribute at the cemetery in Srinagar on Sunday, July 13th. Many parties, including the National Conference of Power (NC) and the J & K Apni Party, wrote to the Srinagar Region Magistrate Judge to visit the Cemetery on July 13th. The central government dropped July 13 from the official holiday list and ended the official ceremony of Srinagar’s Cemetery in Naqshband Shrine.
However, the NC, which came to power last year in J & K, argues that July 13 was included in the official holiday list and restarts an official ceremony in the Cemetery. NC Leader and Mla Tanvir Sadiq said, “It is unfortunate and unacceptable to prevent Mirwaiz once again being detained at home and preventing his religious duties.
On July 13, 1931, he said that the history of Kashmir was a turning point and a brave attitude towards cruelty and injustice. Sadiq, “No prohibition or restriction can erase the memory of this sacrifice. Kashmir martyrs will always honor dignity, peace and reality. NC will restore July 13 as a holiday,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur said that those who died in 1931 were “Gones and Rebellion”. “It was a looting day for Kashmir Pandits,” he added.
13 July 1931 was seen as’ Martyrs’ Day ‘to commemorate the murder of 22 civilians who were shot and killed in a rebellion against the birth of J & K.
