Sri Lanka sees drop in tourist numbers in March due to West Asian war

The number of tourists arriving in Sri Lanka dropped significantly in March, falling to 183,979 from 277,000 in January and February. This decline is largely attributed to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East disrupting transit centers and travel plans. India remains the largest inbound market, showing flexibility due to proximity and direct flights.
