Caitlin Clark drops 26 points in new Nike signature shoes, but Fever dream ends with 17 costly turnovers

The greatest rivalry in the WNBA has taken place. Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream team came to Indy and gave Caitlin Clark a brutal 108-101 reality check.

If you’re taking over, go get yourself a drink.

Let’s start with ATL Barbie.

Reese looked cooked after picking up four quick fouls in the first half and spent too much time on the pine.

However, in the end, Reese had an impressive performance with 21 points and 11 rebounds. He sealed the deal with a forceful grab and a layup with 23 seconds left.

Clark, meanwhile, looked polished with 26 points and 7 assists with his brand new Nike kicks.

Problem? Indiana treated basketball like it was a live grenade.

The Fever had 17 turnovers.

Atlanta’s starting lineup was also absolutely sensational. Every starter scored 16 points or more.

Jordin Canada, Naz Hillmon, Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard joined Reese for a ridiculous 89 points.

Good luck stopping this.

But Indiana didn’t go quietly into the night. Kelsey Mitchell scored 26 points and made her 700th career 3-pointer, sparking a wild run that tied the score in the fourth quarter. Aliyah Boston also scored 23 points.

But Indy’s brutal turnover late in the game led to an easy fast break that sucked the life out of the bullpen.

The Fever fell to 9-6 as the Dream improved to an impressive 10-4.

Clark can sell out arenas and look good in his signature shoes, but if Indy can’t keep the rock, they won’t get very far this year.
