It was his fifth technical foul of the season. When a player receives his eighth technical foul, he is suspended for one match.

“Yes, that’s ridiculous. I have a technical staff for the applause. So now we have to look at the schedule and pick a game where I’m going to get a penalty if I’m going to get a technical for the applause. (The referee) said I have a technical for the applause. If any technical staff needs to be brought in, if it’s really for the applause, it should be him. They said that’s why they gave it to me. I mean, it’s ridiculous. I don’t understand it, absolutely.

“I’m going to play with emotion. I’m going to play with passion. If they’re going to give me a technical foul for clapping, so be it. That’s their choice. The league can come back and review the game and I’d like to hear what they say about why I got a technical foul in this situation and why the players on the other team didn’t get a technical foul in this situation. If anything, split it up. OK, everybody gets technical fouls. It wasn’t given to them that way. I’d love to go out.”

Indiana won the game 86-77.

Clark played with 24 points, 9 assists and 3 rebounds in the win. This is his fifth consecutive game in which he has scored at least 20 points.
