Cam Skattebo suffers injury: Cause of injury revealed as Giants rookie running back was carted off from the field; check here
The Giants announced that Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The Giants trailed 14-7 with 8:07 left in the first half when Skattebo went down following an incomplete pass. His leg got stuck under him when Eagles linebacker Zack Baun tackled him.

Skattebo was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation after being taken off the field in the second quarter after taking a hard hit in the middle while attempting a pass. He fell to the ground in a heap, hitting his helmet in pain.
Skattebo’s foot appeared to be twisted as both Giants and Eagles players gathered around the rookie standout, who was making his debut until he was helped out of bounds.
Skattebo, 23, was a fourth-round pick by Arizona State in the 2025 draft and already had an air cast on his lower right leg when he was carried off the field. He raised his right arm in recognition of the applause from the Eagles crowd. He was removed from the game for the remainder of the game. He threw three touchdown passes against the Eagles earlier this month and already caught an 18-yard field goal from Jaxson Dart in Sunday’s game.

Giants players were devastated by the horrific sight of Skattebo’s ankle being twisted in the other direction, and many walked away from the scene. Dart turned around and cursed before kneeling down and burying his head in his hands. The Giants entered Sunday just 2-5, but the play of Dart and Skattebo injected some needed optimism into the organization. Skattebo threw three touchdown passes, Dart had one rush and one pass, and the Giants beat the Eagles 34-17 earlier this month. Skattebo entered Sunday rushing for 398 yards and five touchdowns.
