A theory about traitors ties all the contestants together and an important clue is hidden in plain sight.

Viewers have already learned about three pre-existing connections during the latest series of the BBC programme.

Contestants and spectators were stunned by the presence of a family tree painting in the castle’s foyer.

It depicts all 22 players from the beginning and also features Latin writing intended to send a message.

Translated, it reads: ‘Be careful who you trust as if you were your own blood.

‘The sharpest knives are often brought to the table by loyal servants.

Some fans of the popular BBC show believe all 22 contestants from series four have a connection in the castle

It seems that numerous hidden, pre-existing connections have already been revealed in the opening chapters.

‘Among close friends hide the most secret enemies; ‘Don’t let your self-confidence cause your downfall and anxiety.’

Therefore, some fans believe this indicates that the entire cast is connected in some way.

Some of the predicted couples are:

Reece and Amanda

Fans writing online speculated that Reece and Amanda may be linked after noticing a similarity in appearance

Viewers highlighted an obvious similarity between contestants Reece, 27, and Amanda, 57.

This was also touched upon in-game, with Amanda joking that Reece was her son – but was there any truth to it?

One viewer wrote on Reddit: ‘I’m sorry but they look alike and their scenes together give off mother-son energy. I’m convinced.’

Another added: ‘Absolutely 100%. They look alike and are very comfortable around each other. Add in Reece asking Fiona to give up the skull to save Amanda, and these are too many clues to ignore.’

A third chimed in: ‘I have a strong feeling they are Auntie and Niece. They seem so natural and comfortable around each other, there’s an easy familiarity to all their conversations.

‘There seems to be a lot of similarities between their facial features, I even thought they looked similar from the beginning, otherwise it’s all very coincidental.’

In the fifth episode, it was just the two of them facing a tense exile, which ultimately had to be resolved by Lucky Chests.

Me and James

Some viewers have suggested a possible link between Ben and James after spotting a key clue

Laser-focused fans pointed out that contestant Ben’s last name was not revealed online.

Although the series generally does not share the surnames of the actors, armchair detectives believe this is not a coincidence.

The 66-year-old retired naval officer became the second Loyalist to be ‘killed’ by the Traitors and viewers thought he might be related to a fellow actor.

One person wrote: ‘I’m pretty sure we found the big change.’

They explained: ‘But there is something very interesting here; You won’t find Ben’s last name anywhere.

‘The show has released the full names of all contestants except Ben. It’s just called “I”.

‘All wikis etc. It only features him by his first name, even though they list everyone else by their full name.’

Another theorized: ‘I thought the eye area looked like James. And James is from Weymouth, not far from Hampshire, where Ben is said to be from.

‘And as an ex-navy man, despite his Scottish accent, he might have been stationed in Portsmouth.’

Jack and Jessie

Viewers began to think Jack and Jessie had a pre-existing connection after their interactions in the fourth episode’s mission.

Maz and Faraaz

Viewers have also suggested a possible connection between Maz and Faraaz but will this be true?

Following Judy’s exit from the castle, Sadik revealed that he secretly thought two of his former rivals were father and son.

To talk MetroJudy particularly highlighted Maz, 59, and Faraaz, 22.

He shared: ‘I think there are more hidden connections.

‘There was a lot of speculation about Faraaz and Maz when I was there; Are they son and father? We kept thinking about it.’

On Reddit, a viewer of the BBC show agreed, writing: ‘Anyone else think Maz is Faraaz’s father?’

But another person poured cold water on this theory, writing: ‘I don’t know if this is a spoiler or not but I can tell you it’s not.’

When asked about this, the Reddit user made the following statement: ‘I know [Faraaz] and I saw his father.”

Things viewers already know

In the first episode, it was revealed that 60-year-old Judy and 32-year-old Roxy were mother and daughter but kept their relationship secret from the other cast members.

However, this change did not fully occur because Judy was the first person to be exiled.

Elsewhere, Ross, 37, and Netty, 42, were stunned to recognize each other when they arrived at the goal.

The two have been old acquaintances for over a decade; he has no knowledge that the other will be there.

Unfortunately, Netty was the first person to be ‘killed’, while Ross was the third to be exiled.

Following Ross’ split, contestant Ellie, 33, admitted to viewers that he was actually her boyfriend.

In the first episode, which aired last Wednesday, suspicions that the two knew each other began the moment they boarded the train in the Scottish Highlands.

This time it comes as the game ends with the inclusion of a Hidden Traitor

The pair, both from London, were seated across from each other and were deemed by the audience to be too familiar to be supposedly meeting for the first time.

A group photo featuring Ross and Ellie from a business trip in June 2024 has also emerged, confirming that they knew each other before the show.

They have also both posted holiday snaps from the same location in Tenerife since filming wrapped last May.

Ellie shared the bikini photos, thought to have been taken at the glitzy Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort, and wrote: ‘A little winter sun is good for the soul.’

Muscle model Ross, who is ranked fifth in Europe, also posted two Instagram photos from a trip with the caption: ‘Suns out, guns out. Holiday gains in Tenerife! Quick question: Do you train on holiday?’

He also ‘liked’ a post Ellie shared on LinkedIn in July.
