Carney secures Liberal majority government after special election wins

In the third by-election in Quebec’s Terrebonne riding, Liberal candidate Tatiana Auguste gained a slight lead over Bloc Quebecois’ Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagné, with nearly 30% of the votes counted at 22:30 local time (02:30 GMT) on Monday.
