Carrie Underwood gifts ‘American Idol’ contestant Tiffany jewelry

Carrie Underwood is remembered for her generosity.
An “American Idol” contestant revealed Monday that the superstar judge gifted her jewelry from Tiffany and sent her a handwritten note congratulating her on placing in the top 11 on the reality singing competition.
“I didn’t realize my first piece of Tiffany & Co. jewelry would come from Carrie Underwood,” Hannah Harper wrote on Facebook, along with a crying emoji. She added: “But the part that really touched me the most was the handwritten note. That meant more than anything. Just the fact that she took the time to do that…it says everything about who she is. Y’all, she’s as down to earth and genuine as can be. Just a good, kind person. I love her so much.”
Harper shared a photo of the Tiffany packaging and a note from Underwood congratulating her, writing: “From the moment I first saw you, heard your story and heard your voice, I knew you were special.”

She added that women and mothers around the world relate to Harper’s story, calling her “an inspiration.”
The aspiring singer sang an original song about her struggle with postpartum depression. “American Idol” auditions.
“You’re like my favorite person,” Underwood told Harper before singing. “You wear handmade clothes. You sing songs called ‘Çize Cheese’.”

Harper emotionally explained that she wrote “Dili Cheese” after the birth of her youngest son, who she said is now one year old.

“And my youngest son – I was just having a pity party, praying for God to calm my soul -” and my son kept coming up to me and saying, ‘Hey mom, open this. Open my cheese.”

After cracking open the slice of cheese, she said she realized God had put her in this situation and said, “My home was the greatest ministry I could have ever had, and as a mom, I picked myself up off the couch and stopped throwing a pity party and realized this was exactly what I wanted.”
“Postpartum depression kicked her ass and I said, ‘I’m not going to do that,'” she added.

Underwood began to cry after Harper called “String Cheese” “the most familiar song I’ve ever heard.”

Later, before revealing she was heading to Hollywood to continue competing, Underwood added: “You might be my favorite person to walk through these doors in the last three days. You’re gorgeous, you sound like you’re already famous. I think there’s a beautiful simplicity to your voice.”

The “Before He Cheats” singer added that she’ll be thinking about Harper and what she plans to sing next in the competition.
“I just feel like I’m rooting for you,” he admitted. “I loved everything about everything you did.”
