Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, is calling for the judge in the trial against her husband’s accused assassin, Tyler Robinson, to deny a motion to cut off news cameras in the courtroom.
“When my husband was killed, there were cameras everywhere,” she told Fox News’ Jesse Watters in an exclusive interview. “There were cameras everywhere where my friends and family were grieving. There were cameras all around me, analyzing my every move, every smile, every tear. We deserve to have cameras there.”
The high profile of Robinson’s case resulted in increased security at the courthouse, where the suspect did not physically appear in person. He did not even show his face while actually attending the last two public hearings.

“Why not be transparent?” Kirk continued. “There’s nothing to hide. I know there isn’t because I saw what the case was based on.”
Robinson, 22, is accused of firing a single shot with a Mauser .30-06 from a rooftop at Utah Valley University, then delivering a fatal blow to Charlie Kirk as he addressed the audience at the Turning Point USA event on Sept. 10, minutes after noon.

Robinson faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, which carries the potential death penalty. He has not yet made a defence.
Judge Tony Graf recently granted a defense motion to allow Robinson to wear civilian clothes in court, citing the constitutional presumption of innocence, but denied a motion to allow him to appear unshackled.
