Chhattisgarh attracts Rs 9,500 crore in fresh investment MoUs

Hyderabad: Chhattisgarh signed investment MoUs worth more than Rs 9,500 billion with seven companies at a roadshow here on Friday; this move is expected to create more than 7,800 jobs.
Speaking to reporters during the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect event here, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also said that there is no Maoist-affected district left in the state.
He said investment memorandums of understanding have been signed in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, solar component manufacturing, dairy products and others.

The CM said the state’s new industrial policy has attracted investment proposals worth Rs 8 lakh crore.
He said that the process of implementing these investment proposals in the field has begun.
He urged investors to make significant investments in the state.
