Chloe Lewis says her final goodbye to ex Jake Hall as she shares a photo tribute, kisses a picture of the star and ‘dances in the clouds’ on an inflatable floor at ‘unconventional’ funeral

Jake Hall’s ex-girlfriend Chloe Lewis has paid an emotional tribute to the late star after attending his ‘unconventional’ funeral on Friday.

The former TOWIE star, 35, said his final farewell to his childhood sweetheart in a heartbreaking snippet on Instagram, while also sharing photos from the day.

Chloe presented a floral gift with an old photo of herself and Jake together at the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Wanstead, east London.

The heart-shaped tribute was surrounded by a frame of baby’s breath and red roses, the former of which symbolizes purity, innocence and eternal love.

After the ceremony, Chloe shared a photo of Jake on her story, declaring that she would love him ‘forever’ and promising to ‘look after her people’.

He wrote: ‘I really wish I could change what happened. He is someone who I think will be in my life no matter where we are in life.

‘I hope I can see you again one day. I will care for your people and give my heart, I will love you forever.

Chloe also shared the moment she bounced on the inflatable floor at Jake’s unique funeral, captioning the photo: ‘Dancing on the clouds with you in a room full of your beautiful artwork.’

At this unique event, family and friends gathered in a comprehensive celebration of Jake’s life and work; This celebration featured a large-scale exhibition of Jake’s paintings, a tribute to his fashion career, and performances by his close friends and collaborators.

During one of the day’s DJ sets, Chloe, who dated Jake for eight years from 2008 to 2016, danced while holding a huge portrait of Jake, at one point kissing the picture.

The display outside the venue featured a billboard featuring Jake standing with the quote: ‘The world told you to choose. So choose. ‘Select everything.’

The event took place at Unlocked Shoreditch, owned by Sonny, and featured performances from DJs and live performances from friends Maverick Saber, Tom Grennan and The Kooks.

During his DJ set, Sonny was joined on stage by Jake’s close friend Ryan Thomas, who also carried the casket during the ceremony.

His brother, Scott Thomas, shared an emotional statement at the reception alongside a photo of Ryan sitting on a white inflatable structure.

He said: ‘I don’t know what or how you did it, but you showed my older brother something very special about life and about yourself. Something no one has ever managed to do before and for that I thank you.

‘Your legacy and energy will live on forever, brother. ‘Shine brightly on the other side, we’ll see you when we get there.’

Jake’s family have vowed to ‘continue their mission’ to showcase his passion for art and fashion as they celebrate his life with a gripping exhibition.

Jake’s family is establishing the Choose Anything Foundation in his memory, with all proceeds going to the organization and his eight-year-old daughter, River.

Jake was found dead with head injuries five weeks ago on May 6 after escaping through the single-pane glass door of a holiday villa in Majorca.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Sonny said: ‘We wanted to give Jake a send-off that was true to his personality; not a quiet room, not a traditional farewell. He lived out loud.

‘He built something. It made people feel something. Last night was our way of saying: We saw you. We are proud of you. And we’re not done yet.

‘The art, the foundation, everything we build in his name; That’s the ongoing mission. ‘Select everything.’

The memorial service took place hours after Jake’s friends and family gathered to say goodbye at his funeral.

Many appeared to be in disbelief following Jake’s shocking death, aged just 35, after passing through a glass door at a holiday villa he rented on the Spanish island of Majorca, where Jake lived with his family throughout his childhood.

Sonny’s voice was choked with emotion as he spoke movingly about their experience together in a pre-recorded message.

He promised to help care for Jake’s daughter, River, and explained that his brother had done more in 35 years than most people could do in several lifetimes.

Sonny tearfully concluded: ‘I love you so much – I miss you so much.’

Jake’s service order included a photo of him dancing.

The family shared that instead of a traditional memorial service, they have decided to host an immersive celebration of Jake’s life and work.

The exhibition included a large-scale exhibition of his paintings, tributes to his fashion career, and performances by his close friends and collaborators.

Jake’s devastated parents Greg and Jacque were joined by ex-girlfriends Chloe and Miss Beqiri, mother of daughter River, as hundreds gathered at St Mary the Virgin in Wanstead, east London, for the 90-minute ceremony.

Co-stars of the popular reality TV series, boxer Derek Chisora, and members of David Beckham’s family, including his mother Sandra and sister Joanne, were also among the large congregation.

Jake was found dead in his holiday villa on May 6.

Police were called to the rental house in Santa Margalida, in the north of the resort island, at around 7.30am and were found there.

The police interrogated the four men and two women who were staying in the house.

They told officers they went out in the evening and continued partying after returning to the property in the early hours.

The Guardia Civil confirmed there was no ‘criminal activity’ involved in Jake’s death.

Hours before he died, he shared a final post on Instagram promising to ‘remember the good things’.

Featured in The Rolling Stones’ classic Beast of Burden, it showed his enjoyment of painting, Spanish landscapes and fashion.

The caption read: ‘Life is bullshit sometimes but I’ll try to remember the good things – I’m looking through things – I just make art – in many forms.’

Jake, who was renting a property in Santa Margalida at the time of his death, joined the TOWIE cast in 2015 and dated co-star Miss Lewis before splitting in 2024.

The event took place at Unlocked Shoreditch, owned by Jake’s brother Sonny, and included an exhibition of Jake’s artwork.

The event also featured DJ sets and live performances from friends Maverick Saber, Tom Grennan and The Kooks.

He also ran a menswear brand called ‘By Jake Hall’ and was dating Real Housewives of Cheshire star Beqiri, with whom he has an eight-year-old daughter River. Hall and Beqiri split in 2021, but today he paid tribute to her by posting a photo of himself kissing her.

Jake is believed to have arrived in Majorca on May 5 before spending a night in Palma, then returning to the villa with two men and three women.

They partied and played music until the morning, but the accident occurred at around 7.15am when neighbors heard a loud crash followed by breaking windows.

While the Guardia Civil confirmed that there was no ‘criminal activity’ at the scene, legal sources confirmed that the death was completely accidental.

An autopsy was performed in Palma, but the results of the tests will not be made public.

Following his death, Jake’s ex-wife Beqiri said: ‘I never thought I would have to write this and even the pain of writing these words feels unbearable. There was no way you had to go. My heart is shattered and so is our daughter’s.

‘You lit up every room you entered; your smile, your charm, your energy filling the air. How much you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your soul.

‘You were loved so deeply by so many people and it is both heartbreaking and beautiful to see the love everyone has for you.’

Other tributes poured in for Hall; Among them was Fat Tony, who said on Instagram: ‘Devastating news, we love you @jakehall, such a huge loss to the world, you beautiful man x.’

TOWIE also released a statement saying: ‘Jake has been part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our deepest condolences to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.’
