Hollywood star Chris Evans and his wife Alba Baptista welcomed their first child together. According to entertainment news outlet TMZ, Evans, 44, and Baptista, 28, welcomed the baby on October 24 in Massachusetts.
While gender or name are yet to be confirmed, the child marks the first for both actors. The couple married in a private ceremony on Cape Cod on September 9, 2023, after going public with their relationship earlier that year.
Pregnancy rumors began circulating when a Father’s Day tribute tagging Alba and Chris’ dads was shared on a fan account of the couple. Alba’s father, Luiz Baptista, said: “Thank you very much, dear Chris. It’s your turn.” He left a sweet comment.
Evans, best known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was last seen in Celine Song’s romantic drama Materialists and Romain Gavras’ action comedy Sacrifice. He also played the superhero Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, in Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Baptista appeared in several Portuguese TV series and films, including A Impostora and Jogo Duplo, before becoming known for her leading role in the Netflix fantasy drama series Warrior Nun. He was last seen in the 2025 comedy thriller Borderline, which also starred Samara Weaving, Ray Nicholson and Jimmie Fails.
