CISF To Secure NATGRID Campus In Bengaluru

NEW DELHI: The Center has approved deployment of personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force to ensure security of NATGRID campus in Bengaluru. The Union home ministry has approved 76 posts for posting, a CISF spokesperson said on Sunday.

The National Intelligence Network (NATGRID), a critical national security infrastructure, combines data from multiple intelligence and law enforcement databases to assist counterterrorism operations. While the NATGRID campus is located at Yelahanka in Bengaluru, its headquarters in New Delhi is currently under CISF protection against potential threats, including sabotage and terrorist attacks.

CISF provides armed security protection to sensitive and critical facilities across government and the private sector. In a related development, CISF recently took over the security of Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Chanakyapuri by deputing 90 personnel. The facility, affiliated with the Ministry of External Affairs, serves as a cultural center and was earlier known as Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra.
