The Meerut Regional Administration stopped a Gurjar Mahapanchayat on Sunday, September 22, 2025, was organized without permission, and some members of the community allegedly threw stones on the police trying to control them.
After rejecting any stone pelting example, the police filed a lawsuit against 22 people and others in relation to the incident.
According to the police, Mahapanchayat was gathered to discuss issues such as Rajput ruler Mihir Bhoj in the village of Mahapanchayat and the demand for political participation of the Gurjar community.
However, the management did not allow the event. At the expectation of the meeting, a large police force, including PAC personnel, was assigned in Dadri and in their circles to Kapsad.
The problem began when a few people, including Ravindra Bhati, the national president of Rashtria Veer Gurjar Sangharsh Samiti, near Dadri Morh in NH-58, were detained.
According to the locals, the crowd was angry and began to ston to the police. At this point, Abhinav Motla, a resident of Dadri, came with more than 200 men and led to a conflict with the police.
The locals claimed that the crowd had thrown stones to the police near the Railway line on the Dadri-Mandora Road before the police disintegrated.
SP (City) Ayush Vikram Singh said, “The police received information that some people tried to organize a rally on behalf of a Mahapanchayat and try to disturb the peace. He was detained to protect the law and order. There was no stone pelting. The police checked the situation and distributed the crowd.”
The officer said, “The police are investigating some viral videos of the incident to describe the criminals. A fired was placed and several teams were established to investigate the issue,” he said.
