China summons chip giant Nvidia over alleged security risks
Chinese authorities called Nvidia representatives on Thursday to discuss some artificial safety problems “about some artificial intelligence chips, as the US technology giant found it involved in trade tensions between Beijing and Washington.
NVIDIA is a manufacturer of AI semiconductors in the world, but effectively restricts which chips can export to China for national security reasons.
An important issue was access to “H20”, a less powerful version of NVIDIA’s AI processing units.
California -based company, Washington’un exports stopping the bachelor’s pavements after promising to remove the H20 this month will continue to sell H20, he said.
However, the company still faced obstacles to the NVIDIA and other advanced AI chips manufacturers to include settled positions, to include their ability to monitor location.
