CM Fadnavis to conduct probe in Chhagan Bhujbal’s helicopter landing in parking lot

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, a helicopter carrying Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal missed the designated helipad in Pune district and landed about 1,300 meters away in a parking lot in nearby Khanwadi village. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the incident would be investigated.

Mr. Bhujbal was traveling to Pune from Nashik district to attend the 200th birth anniversary of social reformer Jyotiba Phule. “The pilot failed to notice the helipad and landed in a parking area. It was a smooth landing and there were no problems,” said Mr. Bhujpal, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
