CM Yogi Adityanath govt approves development of Loni’s Delhi-Saharanpur Road, allocates Rs… for renovation project, here’s all you need to know

The Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road, a major route connecting Ghaziabad to major regions, is set for a major upgrade after getting the nod from the state government. Renovation work is planned to begin in January.
The Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road, a major artery connecting Ghaziabad to the rest of the country, will finally undergo a major revamp. The state government has approved the proposal to renew the road and work is expected to begin in January. According to a report by Livehindustan.com, the 7-kilometer road passing through Loni will undergo major renovation with an estimated budget of Rs 32 million.
The long-awaited demand has been met
The decision to renovate the Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road has been welcomed by residents of the area who have been demanding repairs for years. There are difficulties in transportation due to potholes and rough surfaces on the road. Two-wheeler riders were particularly vulnerable and often fell victim to difficult road conditions. The poor condition of the road also caused air pollution to increase as vehicles tried to move on the porous surface.
Renovation work will begin in January
According to Public Works Department (PWD) Executive Engineer Rajaram, the tender process for the renovation work is currently on. “The renewal of Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road has been approved and we are in the process of finalizing the tender,” he said. “We plan to start the work in January and complete it as soon as possible.” The renovations will include laying a new surface, repairing potholes and building cement roads in areas likely to be flooded.
Cemented roads to reduce waterlogging
PWD identified waterlogging-prone areas along the Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road, which contributed greatly to the deterioration of the road. In order to find a solution to this problem, cement roads will be built in these areas and drainage systems will be installed to prevent water accumulation on the road surface. It is hoped that this will reassure passengers and reduce the incidence of accidents.
Citizens welcomed this move
Locals welcomed the government’s decision to renew the Delhi-Saharanpur Yamunotri Road. “We are facing great difficulties due to the bad road,” said a citizen. “We hope that the renovations will be completed as soon as possible, ensuring a safe and trouble-free journey.”
