Police arrested two persons early on Saturday in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 10-year-old girl, whose body was found in the Kannampalayam tank near Coimbatore on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Inspector General of Police (Western Zone) RV Ramya Bharathi confirmed the arrest of Karthik (33) of Nagapattinam and his friend Mohanraj, a resident of Pallapalayam near Coimbatore, for their alleged involvement in the crime. Hindu.

Police directed traffic on the main road to alternative routes.
