Opening Ceremony Details
The games will officially begin with the opening ceremony, which will feature cultural performances as well as a large parade of athletes. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 23 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and will start at 22:30 IST.
Indian Flag Bearers
Olympic medalists Lovlina Borgohain and Mirabai Chanu will carry the Indian flag and serve as baton bearers at the opening ceremony.
Who will perform at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2026?
The ceremony will feature performances by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, folk musician Nathan Evans and the band Saint PHNX.
The opening ceremony was attended by King George III. Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to attend. The King will declare the Games officially opened.
