Complete Mulapet, Machilipatnam, Ramayapatnam Ports By Year End: Minister

R&B minister BC Janardhan Reddy has instructed officials to ensure completion of Mulapet, Machilipatnam and Ramayapatnam ports by the end of this year.

TD said that the coalition government evaluated the port construction in a prestigious manner. The Minister reviewed the progress of new ports and shipping ports at the Secretariat on Monday.

He asked the authorities to report any problems during construction to him so that they can be resolved early. By accelerating the rehabilitation work in Mulapet village, the dredging work of Mulapet port can be completed. This will help complete the port by the end of this year.

He also instructed the authorities to solve the salty land problem and to speed up infrastructure works as well as road and railway construction.

Regarding the Machilipatnam port, the minister said that the authorities should align the railway line with the port and electricity and drinking water facilities should be completed.

He told officials that dredging and rehabilitation of Ramayapatnam port should also be completed as soon as possible.

The Minister asked the authorities to complete land acquisition and obtain forest permits for national highways and railway projects commissioned by the state and to ensure their rapid completion.
