Conciliation service involved in efforts to resolve resident doctors’ strike | Doctors

Conciliation service Acas was involved in resolving the junior doctors’ strike in England.

Healthcare workers went on strike for the 14th time over salary and work.

Acas’ intervention comes after NHS bosses and the Patients’ Association called in recent days for the government and the British Medical Association to agree independent mediation to break the impasse.

Confirming the move, Kevin Rowan, director of dispute resolution at the independent industrial relations conciliation body, said: “Acas is in contact with all parties involved in the junior doctors’ dispute.”
