Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury moves Rule 267 notice in Rajya Sabha, seeks discussion on SIR in Bihar

Congress Deputy Renuka Chowdury, Friday morning in the 267th rule in Rajya Sabha, making a notification, Bihar Election Commission (EC) before the parliamentary elections to be held before the special intensive revision (secret) exercise demanded.

Chowdury expressed his concerns about the ongoing voter list in Bihar that the revision driving is a risk of “deprived of millions of people from their rights” and asking questions about the “fairness” of the process because of “opaque instructions”.

The lack of sufficient documents, especially for those living in floods or distant regions, makes it impossible for these citizens to prove their suitability.

“For this exercise, opaid directives create serious doubts about fairness. The communities that are absorbed affect people.


Congress Rajya Sabha Deputy Akhilesh Prasad Singh provided a suspension of the job notification in accordance with Kural 267 on Friday and requested a discussion about the special intensive revision of the voter lists in Bihar. The Indian block marked Bihar Sir in the Misson session of the parliament and demanded a discussion. The opposition also held a protest on Thursday outside the parliament.

Congress also criticized the union government, claiming that he could not confidence on his own process and warned that the exercise could be a “disaster for the country.

“The government cannot even convince its members, they say that this exercise will be a great disaster for democracy. ECI is completely prejudiced. This is now the country witnesses.”

The parliament’s monsoon session started on July 21st and will continue until 21 August.
