The Rajasthan government has intensified its crackdown on corruption and administrative negligence by sacking 20 officials, suspending 332 people and suspending pensions of 17 staff as part of its zero tolerance drive, an official statement said on Sunday (May 31, 2026).
Prime Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that public service cannot be misused due to corruption or dereliction of duty and ordered strict action to be taken against erring officials. The statement stated that this move aims to increase accountability and ensure transparent management.
Those sacked include a Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer and several officials from departments such as medicine, education, mining and public works. Investigation sanctions have been imposed on more than 100 cases, and hundreds more are under investigation.
The government has also taken action against retired civil servants, cutting off their full pensions in numerous cases involving corruption and abuse, signaling that the action will continue after service.
In the statement, it was stated that investigations were continuing in 577 cases and further measures would be taken. The Prime Minister made it clear that officials who do not serve the people honestly will not be retained in government service.
