Cowboy-hatted Swedish World Cup fan should be Buc-ee’s next spokesman after singing its praises on local TV

Swedish soccer fans flocked to Texas this week to watch their team play the Netherlands in the World Cup.
And of course, a trip to Texas leads to some discoveries, including a large gas station with a beaver mascot.
That’s right: Buc-ee’s.

And if the grocery store chain that sells brisket needs a new spokesperson, a human one, I think we may have found that guy.
Houston’s KHOU was chatting with World Cup fans, most local news stations noticed it was usually gold, Jerry.
A reporter decided to ask a Swedish fan about his cowboy hat and ended up with a Buc-ee’s ad.
“From Buc-ee’s!” the fan said when asked where he got his Texas-sized cover. “Then go to Buc-ee’s. It’s a great place. I love the beef jerky. We love it cowboy style!”
Of all the things the rest of the world has discovered about America in the last week and a half, nothing seems to shatter minds quite like Buc-ee’s.
I mean, it’s falling apart American brains. When I first entered, my head was spinning. There were cartoon beavers everywhere, better meat sandwiches than any gas station could produce, and a bar of jerky (and a wall of jerky next to it for the impatient or unsociable). They even sold artwork in the immaculate bathrooms!

Now imagine coming from Linköping or Malmö, where you’ve never seen soda glasses larger than 20 ounces, and going to Buc-ee’s.
Yeah, I’d buy a cowboy hat too and start making money for them on TV.

Unfortunately for the Swedish fans and their friends, this was a difficult day for the team. The Dutch put on an absolute show and took control of Group F, defeating them 5-1.
Maybe he can stop by Buc-ee’s on the way back to his hotel and drown his sorrows with a Texas cheesesteak burrito.
