APSPDCL On High Alert Amid Heavy Rains, Sets Up Control Rooms

Nellore: Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPPDCL) has put its field staff and officials on high alert due to heavy rains and strong winds in various areas under its jurisdiction.
APSPDCL chairman and managing director Shivashankar Lotheti said general manager level officials have been appointed as nodal officers for each district to monitor power restoration activities in case of outage.
The power utility has directed officials to keep essential materials, including distribution transformers, conductors and electric poles, ready for emergency repair work. While control rooms have been set up at departmental and departmental levels, special teams have also been deployed in rain-affected areas to expedite restoration of power supply.
Lotheti said the measures aim to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and rapid restoration in places where outages occur due to adverse weather conditions.
He advised the public to avoid touching power poles or standing under power lines during rainy weather. Consumers have been asked to immediately report broken wires, fallen poles and other electrical hazards to their local electricity authorities or the concerned Assistant Executive Engineer.
Complaints can also be registered through toll-free helplines 1912 and 1800-425-155333 or through APSPDCL’s WhatsApp service at 91333 31912 for quick response and resolution.
